Teach Peace Early

Teach Peace Early is a flagship peace education project of Galaxy for Peace, designed to nurture empathy, tolerance, and nonviolence skills among children and young people aged 5–19. Built on the belief that peace is a skill that can be learned, the project equips the next generation with the values and mindset needed to build harmonious communities. Through 16 interactive lessons, Teach Peace Early introduces children to concepts such as peace, emotional intelligence, respect, cooperation, inclusion, and non-violent conflict resolution. These lessons are easily adaptable for both classrooms and homes — enabling teachers and parents to guide young learners through structured peace education without prior training.

Our Reach

Since its inception, Teach Peace Early has reached more than 10,000 students through in-school program partnerships led by trained Teach Peace Early facilitators. Using storytelling, creative play, and real-life scenarios, the project helps children internalize peace as a way of life —shaping more peaceful communities, reducing conflicts, and fostering empathy across diverse communities.

The future of Teach Peace Early is digital innovation that empowers children’s emotional wellbeing. We are developing an interactive mobile app that transforms peace education into an immersive learning experience. Through carefully designed games and digital resources, children develop empathy, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution skills, tools essential for navigating life’s challenges. This approach addresses a critical gap in adolescent mental health, providing early support for emotional resilience in a scalable, accessible format. By integrating social-emotional learning with peace education, our app equips the next generation to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and foster safer, more compassionate communities. This next phase will ensure that every child, regardless of location, can access transformative peace education and social-emotional learning to lead with understanding and compassion.
